My husband flew first class with his mother, leaving me with the children in economy – a lesson he’ll never forget!

ENTRETENIMIENTO

My spoiled husband booked first-class tickets for himself and his mother, leaving me and the kids in economy.

But I wasn’t going to let him enjoy his luxurious flight in peace.

I made sure his «pampered» experience was slightly disrupted, turning his flight into an unforgettable lesson.

My name is Sofia, and let me tell you about my husband, Clark.

He’s a typical workaholic, always stressed, and seems to think his job is the most important thing in life.

Of course, I understand, but being a mom isn’t exactly a break either.

But this time… this time he really crossed the line.

Are you ready?

We were flying to his family’s house to spend the holidays, hoping to relax a bit.

The idea was to create some nice memories with the kids.

Clark offered to book the tickets, and I thought, «Great, one less thing to worry about.»

But I had no idea what was in store for me.

As we walked through the crowded airport with our toddler and a bag full of diapers, I asked Clark where our seats would be.

He barely looked up from his phone and mumbled something unintelligible.

I had a bad feeling.

He finally put down his phone and smiled uncomfortably.

«I got an upgrade for me and Mom to first class. You know how badly she handles long flights, and I really need to rest…»

My jaw nearly dropped.

An upgrade for him and his mother? And me with the kids in economy?

I couldn’t believe such nerve.

«Let me make sure I understand,» I growled. «You and your mother are in first class, and I’m in economy with the kids?»

He shrugged, ignoring my anger.

«It’s only a few hours, Sofia. You’ll be fine.»

Just then, his mother, Nadia, appeared with a designer suitcase and a smug smile.

«Oh, Clark, ready for our luxury flight?» she purred, clearly proud of her «victory.»

They headed to the first-class lounge while I stayed behind with the two crying children and a burning desire for revenge.

«It’ll be luxurious, I’m sure,» I muttered, a plan already brewing in my mind.

When we finally settled into the plane, the difference between first class and economy was more than obvious.

Clark and Nadia were already sipping champagne, while I tried to squeeze our suitcase into the overhead compartment.

Our five-year-old son started crying: «Mommy, I want to sit next to Daddy!»

I forced myself to smile. «Not this time, sweetheart. Daddy and Grandma are in a special part of the plane.»

«Why can’t we be there?» he asked.

I muttered under my breath, «Because Daddy’s a jerk.»

But I wasn’t going to let it slide so easily.

Oh, no.

Luckily, I had a trick up my sleeve.

Earlier, at security, I’d slipped his wallet out of his backpack without him noticing and put it in my purse.

He didn’t even notice.

While I was calming the kids down, I glanced up at first class, where Clark was completely relaxed in his seat, enjoying the luxury.

A satisfied smile spread across my face.

What was coming next was going to be interesting.

A couple of hours later, I noticed a flight attendant serving gourmet dishes in first class.

Clark spared no expense and ordered the most expensive items on the menu.

He was enjoying the world of luxury.

But then, about 30 minutes later, I saw something: a moment of panic.

Clark was frantically searching his pockets, his face paling as he realized he didn’t have his wallet.

The flight attendant was standing beside him, waiting for payment.

I didn’t hear the conversation, but I saw Clark gesturing desperately, trying to explain something.

«I swear I had it… Is there any way we can work this out?»

I leaned back comfortably in my seat and started eating popcorn.

That was better than any in-flight entertainment.

Finally, Clark went back to economy class and sat next to me.

«Sofia,» he whispered desperately, «I can’t find my wallet. Can you lend me some money?»

I looked at him with an expression of exaggerated sympathy.

«Oh no. How much do you need?»

«About $1,500…» he mumbled, clearly embarrassed.

I almost choked on my water.

«$1,500? Did you order the whole menu?»

«Listen, that’s not important right now,» he grumbled.

«Do you have that kind of money or not?»

I pretended to rummage through my purse.

«Let’s see… I have about $200. Will that help?»

The look of desperation on his face was priceless.

«That should be enough.»

As he turned to leave, I called after him gently, «Maybe your mother can help you? She’s bound to have a credit card.»

His expression said it all.

Asking his mother for help was the last thing he wanted to do.

The rest of the flight…

Wonderfully awkward.

Clark and Nadia sat in icy silence, their first-class experience now completely ruined.

And I enjoyed my economy seat with a whole newfound sense of contentment.

As we prepared to land, Clark made one last attempt to find his wallet.

«Have you seen it? I can’t find it anywhere.»

I put on an innocent face.

«Are you sure you didn’t leave it at home?»

Annoyed, he ran his hands through his hair.

«This is a nightmare.»

«Well,» I said, giving him a gentle tap on the hand, «at least you enjoyed first class, didn’t you?»

His gloomy face was absolutely priceless.

After we landed, Clark was still fuming about his missing wallet.

I calmly closed my bag, in which his wallet was safely tucked away.

I had no intention of returning it immediately.

As we left the airport building, I couldn’t help but crack a small, satisfied smile.

A little creative justice never hurt anyone, right?

Maybe next time Clark will think twice before requesting an upgrade and leaving me behind.

So, fellow travelers, if your partner ever tries to leave you in economy while enjoying first class, remember:

A little clever revenge can turn any flight into a victory.
