After purchasing an old bread delivery van for £3,600, the inspiring couple Martin Hill and Iona Stewart could travel through Europe without needing to fly or take trains!
Martin Hill and Iona Stewart spent a total of £25,000 after buying and renovating the 28-foot-long delivery van.
It took several months for the couple to transform the van into a home they can proudly call their own.
The couple believes that the four months they spent building their home were absolutely worth it.
The two lovers met on the slopes of the French Alps while snowboarding. Martin and Iona will return to the French Alps together with their new home to celebrate their ever-growing bond of love.
“I thought about buying a big American RV about four years ago, after having a few too many beers,” Martin recalls when asked what inspired him to create their unconventional home.
“We bought the truck in May this year. We worked on it full-time for four months.”
What makes their new home even more special for Martin and Iona is the fact that both put their heart and soul into the renovation.
Martin took on the construction work, while Iona handled the design, making their new home stylish and beautiful.
“We did everything ourselves,” Martin said proudly about the masterpiece they created.
“It’s amazing what you can achieve. We’re not exactly living in bad conditions.”

Despite the limited space, Martin and Iona managed to create a comfortable and homey living area.
Their humble home also includes a neat and well-designed small kitchen with enough space for all the necessary herbs, spices, and utensils.
Additionally, the limited space didn’t stop them from having a large double bed and a custom wardrobe.
Their room is even decorated with framed artworks. They even have a shower and a toilet, both small but fully functional!
Martin and Iona sold their apartment in Nottingham, England, and set off to experience the stunning landscapes of Europe.
The inspiring couple now travels with their home, saving a lot of money on hotel and flight costs.
There is nothing more beautiful than two people who not only love each other but also share their dreams.
